HaLloWeEn Is OvEr....

So our favorite holiday has come and gone (Boooo). It was Max's first and I think he enjoyed it ...
Cory and I usually go all out for Halloween and this year was no different. The last weekend in September we strung feet and feet of spider web all across our front porch (ok so I dont know how many feet but it was a ton!) ... our porch was a giant white cocoon with a large black spider keeping watch.
The next few weekends we continued the madness by decorating the house with spider webs, skulls, dead bride heads and pumpkins or going to the Halloween store to look for decorations and costumes.
We found Max's costume early and with out a lot of snags ... although I wanted him to be a monkey in the beginning.
My cute little man was going to be a dinosaur for his first Halloween!!
Miller Family Tradition: every Halloween let Max pick his costume, mama and papa will base their costumes on his and have a Miller Halloween Theme.
First Miller Halloween: Dinosaur .... Cave Men!!

Halloween 2008 was the year of the Dino/Cave Men.
Cory and I waited until the last minute looking for items that would go with a Cave Man theme. We were shocked to find cave men was not more popular Halloween attire. We looked everywhere with no avail.
So on the night before the Halloween party we were at the fabric store until 9:30 getting fabric to make our own cave men costumes ..... we usually end up making our own ... I am not sure why we didn't just start with the fabric store?
Needless to stay our hours at the fabric store and the hours spent cutting, sewing and pining fake fur and leopard print together paid off. We were a hit at the party! And Cory was COLD!
On Halloween Cory and I took Max trick or treating with some old friends and had a blast. I forgot how magical and fun it is to go trick or treating. We ended the night with some good chili and family.
Look at our family Halloween photo and you can see why my family got a real kick out of Cory and his costume!
All in all I think the first Miller Halloween with our little Dino went off without a hitch!!
Unitl Next Year .........
Next stop Thanksgiving in AZ
